EXPLOSIVE CLADDING |
|
Explosive cladding is done, in South Africa, as a protective layer on steel and alloys. This could be corrosion, erosion or other kinds of protection. One of the prime applications is Copper/Nickel cladding on heat exchanger end plates (Tube Ends) in the refrigeration market. The cladding form an integral bonding between the two materials. Radiographic testing is done on the bonding surface to ensure a perfect bonding to the base metal. The technique has been perfected in South Africa and is applied to various industries. |
