Re-Engineering is a process of upgrading and re-design of existing equipment and parts to modern and updated materials and processes.

The need exists for upgrading or refurbishment of existing equipment, of which spares and service has become unavailable or highly expensive or has some operating problems.

The service of Re-Engineering, rendered by GCL, originated in the rotating equipment field of radial and axial compressors and turbines.

This service has now been extended to all other mechanical equipment and systems.

The Re-Engineering process is also applied to problem solving of equipment and parts via fault analysis.

Manufacturing is done in a well equipped workshop (See Manufacturing).
